We offer experienced instructors. Dana Dunbar, Executive Director of PCC, holds a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science and Health and a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy with a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology from the University of Utah. She is a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and a Certified Dementia Care Manager (CDCM) credentialed by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP). Upon completing the "Seminar in Alzheimer's and Dementia" you will be eligible to apply for the Certified Dementia Practitioners (CDP) certification offered by the National Council for Certified Dementia Practitioners. Support for Family, Friends and Loved Ones

Are you a family member or friend of a person with demetia who is looking for ways to support your loved one? We offer one-on-one private consulting, assessment of cognitive functioning and counsel on what to expect now and in the future. Home health visits may be arranged by contacting us with your specific needs. Learn more about group workshops for friends and family of people with dementia.

Our Courses

Seminar in Alzheimer's and Dementia

This full day seminar qualifies you to apply for Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) status with the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP). It may also be suitable for those not seeking CDP status but interested in learning more about this growth area of aged care.

The Alz and Dementia Program is also offered to healthcare facilities on an in-house basis. Corporate level training information, including scheduling and pricing, can be obtained by contacting us directly.
